"A responsible Europe should use the credit crunch as chance for redivision of wealth in the world. The climate crisis, the economic crisis and the food crisis can not be seen separately. Citizens in development countries feel the effects before we Europeans do. To tackle poverty, drought, shortage, famine, gender imbalance and forced migration we need sustainable development, fair trade and respect for human rights. We need to stop climate change in order to end poverty.
