Mainstreaming Tool

For who? Everybody involved in the implementation or development of Eurostep’s programme!

To be used when? Always! When initiating an activity (for instance seminars, conferences, new strategy..), writing a paper (whether it is a position paper or a briefing paper), doing an evaluation…

This analysis will be done in four steps, and believe me, it is not difficult!

Step 1 - Consider the hard facts

Data and references to get an idea of why mainstreaming is important and to use when setting up objectives.

Step 2 - Rights framework

References to relevant conventions, agreements and treaties that can be used for argumentation.

Step 3 - Identification of objectives

Setting up own objectives regarding the mainstreaming aspects.

Step 4 - Mainstreaming audit

When the draft proposal is written, use this audit to assess if the mainstreaming aspects have been integrated.

To get started..
